We're shocked that Robert Downey Jr. was so terrified about parenthood before his son Exton Elias was born this past February.

He does have an older son Indio, who's now 18, so being a father a second time around should come pretty natural to him.

Turns it, it doesn't.

Even though he says that "anticipation" and "fear" are normal parts of becoming a parent, he has other concerns too.

The actor recently gave an insider's look at what goes on his mind:

A rep confirmed that actor and his wife Susan welcomed mini Iron Man earlier today.

The couple gave their baby a name that's totally cute and unique: Exton Elias Downey. Aw, we LOVES IT!

A friend of the couple says:

“Everyone is healthy and they couldn’t be happier."

We're glad to hear Robert is over the "I want a daughter" blues!

Back when he announced his wife was preggers The Avengers actor admitted he was hoping for a girl. His reasoning: he didn't want his first born son, 18-year-old Indio to intimidated by another boy in his life.

We're sure Indio is happy to be a big bro!

Being an only child is lonely, and now when RDJ gets old he won't have to take care of by himself. (LOL!)

Rober Downey Jr. looks SO HAPPY!

The star's wife stole the show at the Sherlock Holmes 2 red carpet!

Look at him! RDJ's goofy grin says can only be caused by the thrill of fatherhood. He so cute!

The beaming father recently announced that his wife Susan is carrying his second son.

We seriously hope he looks as cute as Robert did when he was a kid.

It's a little Sherlock!

The daddy to be (again) broke the news last night on The Tonight Show. When asked about his wife, Susan's pregnancy, Robert Downey Jr. told the Jay:

Robert Downey Jr. has no plans of slowing down.

And why should he? He's the star of some major big action franchises and his work has seem to INCREASE over the years.

And now that he and wife Susan Levin are expecting their first child together, Robert says:

Exciting!!

Last year Robert Downey Jr. said he wanted to have a baybay soon — and he wanted it to be a girl.

In August Iron Man proved his prophecy was half true when he announced his wife Susan was preggers.

But what about the rest of his prediction? Is Rob gonna have to return the pink crib we assume he bought last year?

Saturday the expectant father revealed:

"I am under strict orders to discuss neither, but you got the cats' names. Their names are Montgomery and Dartanian!"

What he just adopted kittens? That's so… HEY! That's not baby news!

RDJ is reeelly good at avoiding answers!

The only new info we squeezed out of the actor: Susan's due date is early next year. Ugh.

Guess we'll have to wait till 2012 to see if Robert is as psychic as Hilary Duff, who dreamed she was having a boy!

This is the couple's first child togeher but Rob has a 17-year-old son, named Indio, from a previous marriage.
