Luke Evans (Immortals, The Hobbit) has joined the cast of Fast 6 in a role originally offered to Jason Statham. It would have been cool to see Statham play a villain, but Evans is some nice eye candy!

After 18 games and five Fast and Furious movies that totally stole this popular video game's thunder, Need For Speed is becoming a movie.
Electronic Arts has enlisted the help of John Gatins, the writer-producer behind Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots Real Steel, to develop a movie based on the racing game that has been around since 1994.

And just to think - the movie had been supposedly shut down just a few short months ago!
Last we heard about the long-anticipated Riddick sequel, Battlestar Galactica alum Katee Sackhoff had been cast as the lead opposite Vin Diesel in the upcoming movie!
Now, production has officially started up on the Riddick Flick, and Vin posted a photo (above) of himself in character on his Facebook page, along with the following caption:

The franchise that kicked off Vin Diesel's career is getting another addition, a third film in the Riddick series.
Having been on Battlestar Galactica, Katee Sackhoff knows how to do science fiction — which could be one of the reasons she's been chosen to play opposite Vin Diesel for part three of the chronicles!
She'll be playing Dayl, a nordic mercenary after Diesel's Riddick. We also hear that Karl Urban has signed back on for Vaako!
