Beyoncé Isn't Anti-Spotify For Good Reason — And Neither Is One Direction (The Boys Just Hit 1 Billion Streams!!)

no title

Beyoncé is one seriously smart business woman. (As if you didn't already know.)

Even though Taylor Swift pulled her entire music library from Spotify, other artists haven't been too quick to follow suit.

And that might just help Beyoncé to dethrone Swift's 1989 from the top of the charts! Bey's eponymous Beyoncé surprise album from last year is now available on the streaming service and that's a big deal.

It's not just a big deal because she's a HUGE artist or because the album has six new remixes and bonus tracks or anything… it's big because Billboard is now

How Much Do Top Artists Like Taylor Swift ACTUALLY Make On Spotify? Check The Numbers HERE!

no title

Taylor Swift has some inneresting ideas about marketing to say the least…

She dropped a new album, and then pulled all her music off Spotify.

That's kinda the exact opposite of what you might expect a normal person to do! You know, because Spotify claims they've paid over $2 billion in royalties!

Regardless, Taylor still doesn't believe the streaming music service fairly compensates artists.

But how much money would a top-earning single actually make? At Spotify's stated payout of $0.006 to $0.0084 per stream, the top artists from October (when Swift pulled her music) made a TON of money!

EXCLUSIVE! Kristin Chenoweth Tells Us Which Singer She's Obsessed With And Talks Coming Home For Her New Concert Special!

no title

Kristin Chenoweth has one of the best voices in the business, and she's proving it with her live concert album Coming Home, which is out TODAY!

[ Video: Kristin Chenoweth Performs I Could Have Danced All Night From Her Upcoming Concert Special! Hear OUR Fair Lady Slay HERE! ]

But when a Wicked diva like Kristin listens to pop music, whose talent is she awestruck by? She says:

"I'm a little obsessed with Sia. I love her energy; I listened to her whole interview on Howard Stern and she just seems like a person who really doesn't care that much what other people think of her. She just puts her music out there, and hopefully you like it and I'd say 90% of us do! Then, to have her voice on top of it… it's quite amazing to listen to her singing. I know other people have covered her music, but if you listen to her singing the lyrics, it's just ridiculous. I love her voice and I think after listening to her interview, I really love who she is. She sings from the depths of her soul."

We love that! But there's one other singer who also gets props from K-Chen! She says:

"I also love Jessie J! That's a girl who sings from her gut! I love her song, Who You Are. That's probably her anthem!"

Speaking of singing and guts, Kristin also told us how tough - and exciting - it was to go back to Oklahoma to film her special!

Ch-ch-check out the rest of our EXCLUSIVE interview (below)!
