Emotions were very high in court after a judge ordered Aaron Carter to surrender his firearms as part of a hearing over his twin sister, Angel Conrad’s restraining order against the pop star.
The 31-year-old performer reportedly “went nuts” after hearing the judge’s order, and yelled over the magistrate during the hearing, claiming he’d just go out of state to buy more guns if he wanted. Horrifying… and quite the shift from six weeks ago when he publicly claimed to be gun-free.

All this is according to TMZ, as on Tuesday, a California judge officially issued a prohibition ordering the former child star not to have any contact with Conrad or the rest of her family for a year, due to his past violent threats. Carter threatened to walk out of court while the prohibition was being read, but the judge ordered Aaron to remain seated, and then told the star he was “too dangerous” to possess guns — which led to the singer’s loud disturbance in the courtroom.
Interestingly enough, back in September when a separate restraining order was first filed by Aaron’s older bro Nick Carter, the embattled singer did peacefully relinquish two of his guns.
It’s unclear what this new judge’s decree about firearms may mean for the That’s How I Beat Shaq singer, though. There’s a possibility the court could hold the crooner in contempt if he doesn’t give up the rest of his firearms, and the judge could then throw him in jail. And after Carter’s outburst, it’s clear he views this gun grab completely differently than what went down the first time a couple of months ago. Hmmm…
Aaron Responds!
As you might expect, Aaron — who was also just treated for exhaustion and weight loss issues at a Florida hospital — quickly spoke out on social media. After all the dust settled on the courtroom drama, he released this statement on his Instagram Story about what, in his view, had transpired in court:
“I am devastated by what happened in court today. My sister lied over and over in an effort take away my 2nd amendment rights and she did it on behalf of my brother to silence me talking about how he raped and sexually assaulted multiple women. I will abide by the judge’s order, but I will not stop speaking on behalf of victims such as Melissa Schuman. I am saddened by my family and what they have done to me. Your lies have broken my heart.”
And despite the moment he seemingly lost control inside the courtroom, Nick’s little bro appeared to be in a celebratory mood (?!) immediately afterward.

Interesting — and kind of confusing — for him to appear to put a happy spin on the restraining order, but whatever helps him get through it, we suppose…

We’ll see how this firearms decree works out moving forward, knowing how volatile this whole situation appears to be right now. Here’s hoping that at the very least, everybody involved remains calm and nonviolent, and nothing gets out of control.
