Hello, fraud.
As we previously reported, tickets for Adele‘s European tour of 25 went on pre-sale early Tuesday morning, but while some fans are mad they weren’t able to guarantee their seats… there are others who are even more pissed about their transactions.
Some fans of the Hello singer may have gotten their identities stolen in the process of getting tix!

Apparently, a handful of Twitter users are claiming that when they selected their tickets at 9 a.m. GMT, credit card numbers and other info were already completely filled in!
According to the ticketing site in question, Songkick, the issue was caused by high traffic and not identity thieves, saying:
“Due to extreme load experienced this morning, some of our customers were incorrectly able to preview limited account information belonging to other customers.
There’s no evidence that this included credit card numbers or passwords. We take the privacy of our users very seriously, and we’re looking further into the matter to ensure it doesn’t happen again.”
Seems plausible enough…
Though it’s true that the stories haven’t been confirmed, social media seems pretty convinced there’s an issue:

While it sounds more like a computer glitch than an active attack, that doesn’t mean everyone’s info was sent to someone trustworthy.
Hopefully this doesn’t affect any more Adele purchases — especially considering the possibility that she could sell 6 million copies of 25 by year’s end!
