Earless Afghan Hound Dog Is The Ultimate Survivor! And He's Now Competing In The Scrufts Dog Show!

It seems that cats aren’t the only ones with nine lives!
Meet Wylie!
This hounddog was found in February 2011 by British soldiers in Kandahar, Afghanistan, and boy was he a mess!
The little guy had his ears cut off, which is traditional for a fighting dog, but he was also stabbed and a car ran him over. The British patrol picked him up, and doctors treated the wounds. Then later, they found Wylie again with his muzzle cut open! After they fixed that, patrollers found Wylie with more injuries another time! The third visit, he suffered from a chest stab wound and had part of his tail cut off.
JUST HORRIBLE!
But Wylie is clearly a survivor, and now he and owner Sarah Singleton are going to compete in the Crufts dog show during the Scruffts grand finale on Friday! His owner says the mutt is a “gentle, trusting and loving dog.”
What a heartwarming story! And triumphant! Go get ‘em, Wylie!
