Alex Rodriguez gave the inside scoop to Jimmy Fallon about his March engagement to Jennifer Lopez, sharing just how long it took him to get everything just right, and of course a few sweet details about their love.

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he said:
“I had rehearsed three days in a row. I wanted the sunset to be perfect. I planned it for about six months. It was on the beach in the Bahamas.”
It definitely was perfect! Just ch-ch-check out the photos and that rock (below):
Seriously so magical!!
The former New York Yankees third baseman also opened up about building a life together:
“We’re constantly supporting each other in our individual endeavors and thinking about all the things that we can build together. We’re really happy.”
ICYMI, the couple celebrated their two-year anniversary together in February of this year. They are adorably supportive of each other on Instagram and are always giving us a peek at their A-list love while keeping it real with plenty of family moments.
A-Rod also added:
“We are very grateful… We have [an] appreciation for where we are in our lives today, and that’s what we’re enjoying the most.”
So sweet!!

The Second Act actress also shared details from the proposal recently during a radio interview with The Breakfast Club on Power 105:
“It was so amazing. And afterwards, I think the best part was that we were both so happy. It was almost like it was a weight lifted off, it was like, ‘Okay! Now we’re really doing this!’ We knew we were going to be together, but until you take that step, there’s always like a, ‘Well, don’t mess up!'”
However, it wasn’t long after the news of the engagement broke that rumors of her fiancé being unfaithful to her began to swirl. The Jenny From The Block singer was clearly not phased, addressing the allegations in the same interview:
“It doesn’t matter. I know what the truth is. I know who he is, he knows who I am. We’re just happy. We’re not gonna let other people come out and tell us what our relationship is; I know what our relationship is.”
Clearly, they’re not letting this get in the way of their bliss!!
