Ali Landry's Summer To-Do-List

Are U nervous what the heck to do with your children for the ENTIRE summer now that they’re out of school?
That’s OK!
That’s why we have Ali Landry here to give our Perezitos.com readers an EXCLUSIVE list of helpful tips for what to do with your kids this summer!
Here’s what Ali had to say:

“Happy summer everyone! Where has the time gone? Just yesterday it seems like I had Marcelo and my husband was just directing his feature film. Now the family is all back together and we├óΓé¼Γäóre READY to start the summer off right. The big question is: How do you officially start summer as an adult or as a parent?
I remember as a child I would look forward to that last day of school, when the final bell would ring. There was that moment where every student in every classroom was paying attention to the exact same thing, the giant clock next to the giant bell, which was of course the reminder that you were about to have three incredible months off to do whatever you would like. When that bell finally did ring, it was official. Summer was here!
Summer for me as a child was amazing (from what I can remember, of course). My mornings were usually lazy, sleeping in as long as I liked, giggling as I felt like I was getting away with something. But, when I did get up the days were jam packed: we’d go for bike rides, head to my friend’s pond for some swimming, race over to cheerleading practice and end the day usually visiting my aunts, uncles and cousins. There were even the little luxuries that stay fresh in my mind like the snowballs with extra cream on top (It’s a total Louisiana thing), the slumber parties with friends, and the slip and slides using dish soap to make sure it was EXTRA slippery.
There were the family vacations in Florida or even skiing in the Atchafalaya Basin in Louisiana, a large wetland area very close to where I lived. We’d have crawfish boils, eat together as a family and I├óΓé¼Γäód end the day usually on the swing with my grandmother listening to her stories of what it was like when she was a young girl growing up in the South.
These are the moments, big or small, that defines summer for me. As a mom, it’s important for me to not only make the most of my summer, but also to do what I can to make my children capture the best moments of their own. So I’ve put together a list of To Dos, a bucket list if you will, for my family this summer.
Ali’s Summer To-Do List:
•Pray every day
•Clean out the playroom for summer guests to stay
•Clean out Estela’s closet before she starts school
•Get Estela’s backpack and school supplies for kindergarten
•Take salsa classes with my hubby (Gotta to keep the spark alive)
•Enroll in Mommy and me with Marcelo
•Lose the last eight pounds of baby weight
•Stay committed to breast-feeding Marcelo
•Supply Alejandro with sweet gestures so he knows how much I love and appreciate him
•Prepare the yummy recipes I found on Pinterest
•Read Eckhart Tolle’s “The Power of Now” and apply it to my daily life
•Wake up early one day to go surfing with Alejandro (He has been begging me since we got married)
•Finish the Summer Bridge activity book with Estela to help prepare her for Kindergarten
•Take another round of Spanish classes
•Have a beach bonfire with the kids, s’mores and fireworks
•Set up a tent in the backyard for camping (Estela has always wanted to go camping)
•Live in the moment, be grateful for everything around me, and live each day to the fullest
So here├óΓé¼Γäós to making the most out of summer (this is where we toast:) To you and your family, I hope you also plan out a great summer of fun and family time. But, also make sure to take some time for yourself and really just enjoy those cherished DAYS OF SUMMER! (Cheers)”

Cheers, Ali!!!
