Everyone’s getting the Aaliyah treatment!
It seems Amy Winehouse‘s father Mitch Winehouse wishes to celebrate his daughter’s musical legacy even further by debuting previously unreleased material!
Mitch is already imagining many a posthumous album featuring the beehive-haired crooner. He may even include some old-school tracks of Amy singing as a child!
The singer’s father recently shared:
“There will be more albums, but it depends. Believe it or not, we’re still looking. There was stuff all over the place like [with producers] Mark Ronson, Salaam Remi. It’s probably going to be more of her live stuff. I’ve got five tracks from when she was a kid in the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in the UK, and they’re great, but [we haven’t decided] whether we want to put them out.”
Yes please!
We need all the soul-stuffed Amy tracks he’s willing to unleash! Let that emotionally-tinged voice ring true in our ears!
And perhaps thoughtful rapper Nas can duet to Amy’s rich vocals like he did on Cherry Wine, creating a whole series of supremely smooth tracks!
Now, we only hope that Amy’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil recovers from his harrowing substance-related coma… our hearts are with you and your loved ones, Blake.
