Police Visit Ariana Grande's Home After Caller Claimed There Was A Shooting In Progress!

Ariana Grande swatted

Don’t worry about Ariana Grande, y’all!

Police visited the Sweetener songstress’ pad after someone called 911 alleging that shots were being fired on the property, but it was apparently just a swatting call. For those who don’t know, swatting is the illegal harassment tactic of tricking an emergency service dispatcher into sending police or an EMT to another person’s address.

According to TMZ, law enforcement sent a few squad cars to the Grammy winner’s El Lay-area home on Wednesday night around 5 p.m., after a caller claimed there was a shooting in progress.

Because Ari has been swatted at least once before, authorities were skeptical when the call was placed. Still, they sent two cars to check out the scene just in case. The outlet reports officers didn’t talk to Ariana, but spoke to the property manager and ultimately found that it was another swatting incident. The LAPD took a 911 abuse report and plans to investigate. Cops say they want to stop swatting calls because the practice is dangerous since it takes away valuable police resources.

While Ariana’s thankfully safe at home, she’s recently been attacked left and right in the press by her ex, Pete Davidson. As we reported, the Saturday Night Live star has not been holding back his thoughts about his former fiancée in recent interviews. During his stint on Hot Ones this week, he totally threw Ariana under the bus when asked what it’s like being chased down by paparazzi:

“It’s really annoying cuz, like, I live in Staten Island, and they come there now. Cuz, like, Ariana Grande made me all famous and stuff. So, like, it’s all her fault.”

After everyone else laughed, Pete doubled down sincerely:

“It is! She set the wolves on me. She made me, and created me, or whatever they say… It sucks, it’s embarrassing, I have a family. My mom has to go to work, and there’s these f**king weirdos outside. And it’s embarrassing, and it sucks. I like to smoke weed and be high in public, and it’s very scary when someone’s like [makes monster photographer noise]. You feel like you’re in the future.”

The comedian also opened up about his relationship with the singer in his recent interview with Charlamagne Tha God, explaining he “pretty much knew” their whirlwind romance was over after the tragic death of Ari’s ex, Mac Miller.

He said:

“I pretty much knew it was around over after that. That was really horrible, and I can’t imagine what that s**t is like. All I do know is that she really loved the s**t out of him, and she wasn’t putting on a show or anything. That was f**ked up.”

There’s no denying the singer has had a traumatic past few years, so it’s good to hear she’s safe and sound at home!
