We’re still kind of shocked about the news that Ashlee Simpson has filed for a divorce from her hubby Pete Wentz, mainly because we still haven’t gotten a real reason why she’s doing it. From what we could tell, they were so happy – a blissful lil’ family. However, sources are reporting that Ashlee’s wanted out of this marriage for a very long time and even though Pete is literally begging her to stay with him, she’s had enough.
According to sources close to the couple, Ashlee has been “extremely unhappy for a long time,” living behind the lie that their family was stable. Again, we’re hearing that her unhappiness with the marriage stemmed from Pete’s “erratic behavior,” but again, we’ve gotten no explanation as to what that means.
We do know that while Ashlee suffered silently, Pete was never happier and had no clue that his marriage wasn’t perfect. When Ashlee announced she wanted out, he reportedly begged her to change her mind. In fact, he’s supposedly still pleading with her to stay, as one source claims he has been “crying” to Ashlee, insisting they can make their relationship work.
But it seems hysterics won’t do him any good. Ashlee allegedly won’t budge and has every intention of going through with the divorce.

Sorry this is so hard on you, Petey. Maybe, in another life, you guys won’t be so beautifully broken and Ash will want to keep you in her autobiography, provided that she’s feeling the L.O.V.E.
