Ariana Grande is taking the high road in this bizarre misunderstanding with Bette Midler.
Instead of lashing out publicly, the Love Me Harder singer has chosen to confide in friends over the legend’s recent comments.

In response to Midler’s insinuation that she’s whoring herself out, Big Sean‘s girlfriend reportedly told her confidants that she’s “shocked” and disappointed, especially since she’s a big fan of the Hocus Pocus actress.
Ari also allegedly pointed out that Bette’s come up to fame around age 20 isn’t much different than her own, considering the legend wore revealing outfits and was overtly sexual in the early stages of her career.
Hmmm, Mz. Grande does have a point…
We’ll have to wait and see if the musical legend ends up apologizing to Ariana — though we doubt she will.
