Imagine Dragons paid homage to the late Ben E. King at the Billboard Music Awards with a cover of Stand By Me.
John Legend introduced them, explaining how hundreds of artists have covered this song over the years, but this has to go down as one of the best renditions.
The group didn’t try to ‘make it their own,’ they just played the tune the way we all know it, allowing the crowd to join in and sing along during the tribute.
And letting people say goodbye while honoring the musician is what tributes are all about, aren’t they?
