Cafeterias Trying Psychological Tricks To Get Kids To Eat Healthy
When we were in elementary school, there was nothing better than chocolate milk at lunch. But cafeterias are making some changes, including making the chocolate milk harder to find by hiding it behind regular milk.
That’s right, after numerous failed attempts to get kids to eat healthier, cafeterias are now resorting to mind games to trick the kids into healthy eating. They’re putting fruit in pretty baskets, only accepting cash for deserts, and hiding chocolate milk all in an attempt to get kids to pick healthier choices.
The difference in this approach is that it’s an attempt to get kids to choose the healthy options, instead of forcing it on them (a tactic that has proven unsuccessful).
This idea a much better approach than before. Forcing kids to eat healthy will result in them growing up craving bad food. People want what they can’t have!
