Caitlyn Jenner made her historic debut this week, and the former Olympian is getting ready to tell her story in the upcoming docu-series I Am Cait!
But this story is definitely one worth telling in greater detail — publishers are already gearing up to bid on the rights to the reality star’s memoir!

Sure, celebs release a memoir every year, but Cait’s story holds monumental significance! Emi Battaglia, director of marketing and Publicity at Regan Arts, had this to say:
“It’s going to be one of the biggest publishing events ever. Everybody in town who is able to pay a pretty significant price├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥because I don’t think it’s going to come cheaply├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥is going to want to be in [on the book auction].”
So, how expensive can the deal actually get? Battaglia thinks it could be somewhere near $10 million, explaining:
“High seven figures for sure. The book is going to be a mega-bestseller. It has the ability to remain on the list for a significant period of time.”
Wow! Reality TV isn’t the only platform that pays the big bucks!
As for WHEN the memoir should be released, publicity director of Gallery Books, Jennifer Robinson suggested it would be best not to rush the process, detailing:
“I just feel like now, there’s so much, because you have the Diane Sawyer [interview], and you have Vanity Fair, and you have the reality show. But if [the book] was a chronicle of the first year, that would be fascinating.”
We agree! No matter what the deal goes for, a memoir from the 65-year-old is one book we can’t wait to read!
