Speaking as a guest on the Millennial Hollywood with Dakota T. Jones podcast, the young actress gave an update on the 26-year-old’s health:

“Demi’s doing, she’s doing really well. She’s working really hard on her sobriety and we’re all so incredibly proud of her. It’s been crazy for our family. It’s been a lot, but we’ve been through a lot together and every single time, I mean if you read my mom’s book you would know… Every time we go through something, we always come out on the other side a hundred times stronger than before. And so we’ve just been, we’ve just been so thankful for everything. For the little things.”

Of course, Madison already has plans for when her sister is out of treatment, and it sounds really sweet. Like frozen yogurt sweet.

“I guess I’m really excited to… I mean there’s so many little things. It sounds so small, but go to Menchie’s. Honestly, I’m more of a Pinkberry person, but she likes Menchie’s, so we like we usually go there.”

We’re wishing Demi and her family the best!

An employee at the Salt Lake City-area coffee shop told the outlet the 26-year-old has been frequenting the establishment over the past few weeks. Though she’s been spotted getting coffee with a friend from rehab, the source said Demi sometimes likes to sit alone, possibly reflecting on her progress.

The employee dished:

“She seemed happy to be out getting fresh air. The other day, she sat alone for like 30 minutes staring out the window. But it looked like she was hopeful and in good spirits.”

We’re glad she’s taking time to stop and smell the coffee.

Demi Lovato’s Mom Breaks Silence On Terrifying Overdose: ‘My Heart Just Dropped’

'My Heart Just Dropped'

Demi Lovato's Mom Breaks Silence On Her Daughter's Near Fatal Overdose

Demi Lovato‘s mother is opening up about the singer’s near fatal overdose.

News of the starlet’s life-or-death experience shocked the world back in July. Now for the first time since the scary incident, Demi’s mom Dianna de la Garza is sharing exactly what it felt like in that moment she got the news.

Related: Selena Gomez Breaks Her Silence On Demi Lovato’s Reported Overdose

In an exclusive sit-down with Newsmax TV, the mother begins:

“It’s still a really difficult thing to talk about. I literally start to shake a little bit when I start to remember what happened that day. I was actually looking at my phone and all these texts started coming in.”

De la Garza reveals that she had no idea what happened until the incoming flood of texts:

“‘I just heard the news, I’m so sorry, I’m praying for your family, I’m praying for Demi.’ I was in shock. I thought, what is going on? … My heart just dropped.”

Here’s what happened shortly after:

“I got a phone call from Demi’s assistant at the time, Kelsey… I answered the phone and Kelsey was rambling like she had obviously been through something terrible, and she said, ‘I need to tell you what’s going on … you’re going to see a report come out.’ I stopped her and said, ‘Kelsey, just tell me what’s going on.’ The next words that came out of her mouth were words … that are so difficult to hear as a parent.

She said Demi overdosed. So I was in shock, I didn’t know what to say. It was something I never, ever expected to hear as a parent about any of my kids. … I said, ‘Is she OK?’ And she stopped for a second and she said, ‘She’s conscious, but she’s not talking.’ I knew at that point that we were in trouble.”

De la Garza and family immediately rushed to the hospital to be by Demi’s side:

“We ran into the emergency room to be by her side, and she just didn’t look good, at all. She was in bad shape, but I said to her, ‘Demi, I’m here. I love you.’ At that point, she said back to me, ‘I love you too.’ From that point on, I never allowed myself to ever think that things weren’t going to be OK.”

And things weren’t quite okay. Dianna recounts the days where Lovato’s condition was critical:

“We just didn’t know for two days if she was going to make it or not.

I was very concerned, and I was trying to be strong for her and for her sisters and for my family back home. … I just feel like the reason she’s alive today is because of the millions of prayers that went up that day.”

In addition to the fans, Demi’s momma also thanks the doctors at Cedars-Sinai:

“I couldn’t have asked for a better team of people to save her life.”

Thankfully, the Sorry Not Sorry singer’s mother ends her interview with some positive news about the pop star’s recovery:

“I can honestly say today that she is doing really well. She’s happy, she’s healthy, she’s working on her sobriety, and she’s getting the help she needs. That in itself encourages me about her future and the future of our family.”

In the wake of this terrifying ordeal, de la Garza hopes to use her book and efforts to fight in whatever way she can to combat the opioid crisis sweeping America.

We’re so grateful to hear this!

Selena Gomez Breaks Her Silence On Demi Lovato’s Reported Overdose — Reveals She ‘Reached Out Personally’

Breaking Her Silence

Selena Gomez Reveals In New Interview She Reached Out Privately To Demi Lovato After Overdose

Selena Gomez has spoken up publicly for the first time about longtime friend Demi Lovato‘s overdose and recovery.

The Back To You singer is featured on the October 2018 cover for Elle, and the accompanying interview includes Gomez’s thoughts about what Lovato is going through right now.

Related: Iggy Azalea Confident Demi Will Thrive

And though Selena was tight-lipped even in her public comments about Lovato’s drug battles for the mag, it’s clear she cares:

“All I’m saying is, I reached out personally. I didn’t do a public thing. I didn’t want to. I … I love her. I’ve known her since I was 7. So … it’s … that’s what I’ll say.”

Understandable!

Remember, Gomez and Lovato go back forever (they were on Barney & Friends together as little kids nearly twenty years ago!) so it’s normal that Gomez would feel strongly (and privately) about what Lovato has been going through.

And though their friendship has hit some rough patches at brief points, it’s clear there’s a lot of long-standing, deep love here (shout-out to that throwback BFF pic up top!).

Demi Lovato’s Alleged Drug Dealer Says She Knew The Pills She Was Taking Were Dangerous

More Info Uncovered:

Demi Lovato’s Drug Dealer Says She Knew The Pills She Took Were Dangerous

Demi Lovato knew she was taking hard drugs the night she overdosed, according to the man who supplied her with “after market pills.”

Brandon Johnson told TMZ that the superstar texted him at 4 a.m. the morning she OD’d and asked him to come over, which he took to mean come over and bring pills. He did, and the two freebased together.

Johnson strongly implied that the two did drugs together many times before and even had a sexual relationship — however other Demi sources strongly deny things ever became romantic between the two.

Anyway, Johnson says Demi knew the pills he gave her that night were much stronger than pharmaceuticals. He admitted to getting the pills from Mexico, but denied knowing they were laced with fentanyl.

Johnson said Demi was sleeping with no sign of a distress when he left her place around 7 or 8 a.m.. An assistant found the Sober singer around 11:30 a.m. and called 911.

As we reported, the 26-year-old’s overdose was likely triggered by Oxycodone laced with fentanyl from Johnson’s batch. Demi’s friends have told press they knew Johnson was “bad news” and will do everything they can to keep him away from her.

Back in March, one month before he allegedly linked up with the former Disney darling, Johnson was arrested for possession of guns, drugs and ammo. He was also arrested in June and charged with DUI and possession of cocaine.

Demi is currently in an out-of-state rehab facility seeking long term treatment.

Cops Arrest Robbery Crew, Stop Planned Burglary Of Demi Lovato’s Home While She’s Away At Rehab

Another Day, Another Burglary

Cops Thwart Thieves' Plans To Rob Demi Lovato's Home While She's Away On Rehab

We’re thankful Demi Lovato is in rehab getting the medical and mental health treatment that she needs… but back on the home front, things are unsettling!

Law enforcement sources are revealing this morning that the LAPD reportedly got wind of an upcoming planned burglary attempt at Lovato’s El Lay mansion while she was away at rehab.

Related: Wiz Khalifa’s Home Was Targeted This Weekend, Too

If you’re keeping count, there have been a TON of burglaries of celeb homes lately, including dozens in the past twelve months, and so Lovato’s vacant home would sure seem like a natural target.

But according to TMZ, cops were able to get intelligence early on that a group of thieves was planning a heist, and the LAPD reportedly arrested a group of men planning the hit before it ever happened.

Things are still uneasy, though — with Lovato gone for so long, her home is still absolutely a target for thieves. Cops have reportedly increased patrols around it and are doubling down to keep an eye on suspicious activity.

So far, it’s worked — no break-ins at her place yet. But with the rash of celeb burglaries seeming to grow by the day… who knows what the future holds.

It’s scary, scary stuff.

The Australian native previously said she knew about Lovato’s struggles with sobriety before Sober revealed it to the rest of the world, so we know this is coming from a place of love and concern.
