Celebs We Want To See On 'Shark Tank'

Celebs we want to see on Shark Tank

Mark CubanLori GreinerDaymond John, and the rest of the rotating Shark Tank stars have been killing it on TV for what feels like forever!

We love ’em all — and yes, as much as we hate to admit it, even Mr. Wonderful occupies a soft spot in our hearts — but what if we found some new blood who could join the tank on occasion, too?!

It’s no secret there are plenty of extremely business-savvy celebs excelling in various industries around the entertainment world. Maybe ABC can use some of these names as suggestions going forward!

We have a feeling the stars listed here (below) would be really good for the show’s format… Ch-ch-check ’em out!!!

Kylie Jenner

Bow down to your new business overlord, Miz Kylie Jenner! LOLz! / (c) Instagram/Kylie Jenner

Come on y’all, isn’t this the most obvious name on the list? She’s not self-made, but she is a billionaire already and she’s barely 21 years old! Kylie Jenner has a remarkably good feel for what young women want in beauty products, surpassing even older sister Kim Kardashian West in this realm by now! (BTW, she ain’t on this list, but Kim would also be a GREAT Shark Tank investor!)

The youngest KarJenner’s low-key business savvy, combined with her impressive social media skill set and ability to get in touch with the highly-coveted teen/low 20s demographic, ought to make her a natural fit for the business reality show. Plus, her money is long… while some stars on this list may not have as much dough as you think with which to invest, Kylie can toss cash around like it ain’t a big deal! Move over, Mark Cuban… this is what a business mogul really looks like in 2019!!! LOL!

Oprah Winfrey

The one, the only, the classic, and still the best… Oprah Winfrey!

The legend has been doing it since before young ones like Kylie were even born, and the longtime TV host has the resumé — and bank accounts — to prove it. For years on her popular daytime talk show, everything Oprah touched turned to gold; products flew off the shelves, books became immediate best sellers, and yes, she even did that infamous car giveaway which still gets meme’d to death these days.

The Mississippi-born Hollywood icon has backed off a little bit of late, but with age, so too comes wisdom, and she continues making shrewd business decisions on a smaller scale with things like the Oprah Winfrey Network, and O, the Oprah Magazine. Plus, the African-American icon not only had a hand in the promotion and eventual election of America’s first black President, she’s such a big deal nowadays people are constantly asking whether she’s going to run for President, herself!

Run for President, or become an investor on Shark Tank…? Hmm… the choice seems pretty simple to us! Ha!

Jessica Alba

Extremely successful celebs throw a LOT of money away on bad ventures and risky investments from time to time, but Jessica Alba seems to have a particularly magic touch for figuring out what works, at least as far as consumer goods are concerned! The gorgeous actress and then-young mom launched The Honest Company with a whopping 17 (!) flagship products way back in 2012 as a way to provide other mothers with safe, usable, non-toxic household cleaning supplies and other goods.

Fast forward a few years and it’s all blowing up; Alba’s company, now headquartered in the Playa Vista area of El Lay, has gone through multiple rounds of venture capital funding and come away with a valuation hovering around $1 billion. The biz had a hand in pioneering digital media marketing too, as well as the use of subscription services as a way to reach consumers and customers, leading the way in their category.

Now, to be fair, The Honest Company has seen some pretty notable missteps in its recent past, including several high-profile lawsuits and a self-issued safety recall over certain products. But it’s all part of the vast wealth of experience Alba has accumulated along the way, and we think it’d make her a shrewd, savvy investor on the NBC reality TV show!!!

Selena Gomez

It’s one thing to have all these super-rich celebs poised to take a seat on Shark Tank, but what about a true super fan of the show?! You know… somebody who would approach the entire event like we would?! Enter: Selena GomezShark Tank fan extraordinaire, who we believe would be one incredible addition to the reality TV hit!

Selena is a HUGE fan of the show, and has been for a while! In 2019, two of her best friends actually gifted her a trip to the set, so she could go backstage and see how the show gets made! What an incredible birthday gift! Clearly we think Selena would be a wonderful addition to the tank sometime… producers, get on that!

Magic Johnson

Talk about loaded up with cash… former NBA star Magic Johnson has done extremely well for himself since his playing days ended. So well, in fact, that he partially owns MLB club Los Angeles Dodgers (no small feat!) as well as a host of restaurants and fast food chains around the country. In sum, his company Magic Johnson Enterprises owns hundreds of restaurants, dozens of real estate developments, and more — and he even owned part of his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, before selling it back to the majority ownership group for nearly ten figures.

All in all, not bad for a post playing-career resumé… and definitely enough here to make him a good business investor for the reality TV show, right?! Yeah, we’d say so!

George Clooney

Not only has George Clooney made an unbelievable amount of money during his acting career, we can’t forget he’s one of the brains behind the successful tequila brand, Casamigos! The company grew so quickly upon founding that, in 2017, Clooney and his partners sold it to beverage giant Diageo for one billion dollars. Yes, with a ‘B.’ Now that’s swimming in cash!

But seriously, Clooney’s A-list persona, incredible good looks, and business savvy in taking a product to market and hitting it big would make him a very good and credible Shark Tank investor. We wouldn’t be mad if he showed up on our TV screens at some point, either. Once a hunk, always a hunk!

Danny Trejo

Danny Trejo

Danny Trejo has lived quite a full life in his many years, most notably a stint in prison and several odd jobs that included working behind-the-scenes on film sets before he was discovered one day. The Machete actor has made the most of his incredible gifts and good fortune though, as he’s a well-known investor in several local eateries in the El Lay area, including Trejo’s Tacos — and Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts on the corner of Santa Monica Ave. and Highland Ave. right in the center of the bustling city!

Though he may not have as much corporate experience as some of the options here, Trejo knows what it takes to get something sold face to face, on the street, and among real people. An asset like that with unique knowledge and such a unique background could really help the show branch out to more diverse entrepreneurial clientele.

Kanye West

Uhhhh, come on. Who’s going to have better ideas for products and a stronger desire to platform with crazy, off-the-wall companies like Kanye West?? The rapper is also a visionary fashion designer in his own right, and he’s had his hands in all kinds of major projects throughout his life already, including high fashion, high-end home design, architecture, major set design inspirations, and more.

Yeezy thinks bigger than pretty much anybody on this list, and even though he’s had a handful of controversial times in his life — to say the least — he’s exactly the kind of big picture, inspirational thinker that a show like Shark Tank would LOVE to have join the investor side of things, wouldn’t you think?!

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow certainly has had an interesting life away from her entertainment career, with a unique family by her side and some strange things in her pastGoop is a powerhouse, even if she can occasionally use it to recommend some weird products at times. So occasional bizarre press aside, the actress seriously knows how to reach out to women with products they went and are willing to buy again, and again, and again. Even Martha Stewart seemed so threatened by Gwyneth’s impressive business empire that she decided to shade the bubbly blond star publicly to get through it. Sorry, Martha!

There you have it, Perezcious readers! Twelve legit celebrity businesspeople who would KILL IT on Shark Tank!

Do you agree?? Can you think of more celebs who might be good on the show?! Sound OFF about all of this in the comments (below)!!!
