Ooh, the cold burn!
It seems like it was just yesterday that Charlize Theron and Sean Penn were headed for wedded bliss — when it seems the Mad Max: Fury Road actress just stopped answering Sean’s phone calls.
A source shared that the Oscar winner just stopped talking to the Mystic River star during the Cannes Film Festival last month.

They shared:
“Charlize wasn’t responding to his calls and texts. She just cut it off.”
As we previously reported, it was said the A-List couple secretly became engaged back in December after a year of dating and a longtime friendship. However, on Wednesday the news broke that the couple had abruptly split. Whoa!
The reports seemed odd as the duo appeared so closed at the iconic film festival in May.
Another source shared:
“Sean and Charlize looked very happy together while at the Hotel Du Cap with no signs of tension or a breakup.”
Hmm, we wonder what happened?!
They might not be on speaking terms right now — but the 39-year-old and the 54-year-old are likely to bump into each other as Sean just wrapped directing the Monster performer in the drama, The Last Face. Yikes!
That’s going to be one awkward red carpet. But, maybe these two crazy kids will be able to work it out!
We guess only time will tell.
