Don’t you dare talk about Cheryl‘s momma!
As we reported, on Sunday, the X Factor judge and Liam Payne announced their split on social media after being together for over two years.

Unfortunately, after the breakup news went viral, some fans speculated that Cheryl’s close relationship with her mother got in the way of her relationship with the One Direction-er.
On Monday, the former Girls Aloud group member went on Twitter to set the record straight about her mum’s involvement.

In a March 2018 interview with Evening Standard, Payne revealed he and Cheryl have “struggles,” but “they go through them together as a family.”
The now-ex couple welcomed their son Bear in March 2017.
