It’s official! Christian Bale will play Steve Jobs!
The long-awaited biopic has finally chosen from its shortlist of A-listers (including Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper, and Leonardo DiCaprio)!

Writer Aaron Sorkin confirmed the casting with glowing praise, saying:
“We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that’s Chris Bale.”
Aaron says the Dark Knight star didn’t even have to audition! He says:
“Well, there was a meeting. The role is an extremely difficult role. He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined… And he’s going to crush it.”
So why will this movie succeed where the Ashton Kutcher film failed?
Besides Christian’s Oscar-winning dedication, this version has another secret weapon. Aaron’s writing.
In The Social Network, the Newsroom creator actually managed to make the Facebook founding fun and interesting to watch. And that was literally guys drinking soda and typing for six weeks.
