Poor Daisy Ridley!
It appears the Star Wars: The Force Awakens starlet has officially left Instagram after receiving HARSH backlash for making sympathetic comments about victims of gun violence. So sad!

On Monday, the brunette beauty took to IG to share a Snapchat filtered pic and to discuss the Teen Choice Awards‘ touching tribute to the victims of several tragic shootings. It’s said, for the now deleted post, Miz Ridley wrote:
“Thinking about how lucky I am like……… Serious bit: as I sat in the audience yesterday tears were streaming down my face at the tribute to those that have been lost to gun violence. I didn’t get a great picture of the incredible group that came on stage but they were so brave. It was a true moment of togetherness. We must ├óΓé¼┬¬#├óΓé¼┼╜stoptheviolence├óΓé¼┬¼”
Unfortunately, this didn’t not go over well with Daisy’s fans as many of them called her a hypocrite since her breakout role was the action hero Rey. The up-and-comer also shared the message on Facebook too and it has yet to be taken to down.
One follower commented on her FB post:
“Well you have just lost a fan. With the utter lack of research, and an obvious zero knowledge on the subject, this is probably something you should not be talking about.”
Whoa. To make matters worse, another fan snapped:
“Another Hollywood hypocrite speaking out against violence while getting rich portraying it. Why do you think everyone is so desensitized these days?”
Yikes! And that was only from Facebook — we can only imagine the heat Daisy received on IG.
Still, many devoted fans are heartbroken about the 24-year-old’s absence from the picture sharing site. Several users have since reached out to Daisy’s costar John Boyega for help in convincing the British cutie to return to Instagram. Although, it seems John is supporting his peer’s decision as he responded to fans:
Bummer. Regardless, we think Daisy needs to do whatever is best for her!
