We knew Sheriff Hopper from Stranger Things was a total daddy — but we were woefully unaware just how much of a ladies’ man he is!
We learned today David Harbour and his girlfriend broke up after over a year of dating.
For those who don’t know — and we were so recently among them, to be honest — the Netflix star had been dating actress Alison Sudol since at least January of 2018 when they made their public debut at the Golden Globes.

You may know Alison for her role as the magically charming Queenie in the Fantastic Beasts films btw.
The two then became inseparable, posing for tons of adorable pics together, which still fill 34-year-old Alison’s Instagram feed.
Notably, this pic she took of Harbour last Valentine’s Day, along with a VERY heartfelt message!
We still don’t know what happened between the two, but we do know David has been mighty busy.
First he had promo for his starring role in the reboot of Hellboy, which… well, it didn’t go over well. Inneresting how relationships so often don’t survive critical failures…
The last time the couple were seen together was in a cute Mother’s Day IG pic.
It turns out, according to a source spilling to Us Weekly the couple actually split “around a month ago.” So sad!
Like we said, we don’t know the reason for the split, but the timing of us finding out is noteworthy — and helps to explain something that happened earlier this month.
David was seen two weeks ago hanging out with Lily Allen in London. He and the singer were attending a play when they ducked out at intermission and left together.
No one made anything of it at the time as Harbour was still understood to be in a relationship and there was no overt PDA or anything.
However, when you add in the fact he and his GF just split — and Lily recently broke up with Meridian Dan, her boyfriend of three years…
Well, it’s certainly inneresting, anyway.
Like we said, it turns out David is quite the ladies’ man.
He dated Strangers With Candy and Forgetting Sarah Marshall actress Maria Thayer from 2009 until 2011. They were even rumored to have gotten engaged!
But that all ended when he began dating…

The two dated for FOUR YEARS, from 2011 until 2015. Right before he blew up everyone’s radar on with Stranger Things.
Has David really moved on with Lily Allen? Neither has said anything yet, but we’ll be keeping an eye out from now on!
