He sure is missed!
We can’t believe it’s almost been a year since Robin Williams‘ tragic death.
With every passing day, we get closer and closer to seeing Williams’ final full film, Boulevard.

Of course with the release date approaching, people are curious as to what those who knew him towards the end had to say about him. There seems to be no better example than the director of Boulevard, Dito Montiel, talking about his love and fondness for a man he obviously admired and deeply respected.
In an interview, Montiel said of Williams:

“I couldn’t have loved him more and I know that sounds corny. Everybody always has such nice things to say about the people they work with, but the stories about him are true and you’d have to search pretty far and wide to find the bad ones. He is a sweet man. He really cares a lot about getting things right and being honest about his character.”

In Williams’ final flick, he plays Nolan, a 60-year-old man who’s unhappy in his long but passionless marriage. One night he acts on his desires and offers a ride to a young street kid named Leo, played by Roberto Aguirre, and this sets off a daring relationship between the two men that could have consequences which cost Nolan his marriage.
The director goes to to talk about Williams’ professionalism by saying

“One thing that Robin was very particular about, and I couldn’t agree more, was that Joy, his [character’s] wife, is a huge part of the film. The big thing for us was that this was more a film about letting go, I guess, than coming out. How do you say goodbye to the love of your life, which is Kathy Baker’s character, as opposed to the story of Nolan at age 23 coming out.”

If these were the final impressions he left on people, no matter how he went, we think Robin lived a loving and successful life!
