DMX: Today's Hip-Hop Is Corny!

Now that DMX isn’t sitting around in jail all day, he’s been in the studio all day and all night.

He’s working on his seventh album, one that he hopes will sound like old hip-hop.

Because guess what! He doesn’t like today’s music that much, stating:

I’ve had a lot of late nights in the studio, getting it in, getting it back to where it’s supposed to be, bringing hip-hop back to where it’s supposed to be. It’s not at a good place right now. [There’s] a lot of whack rappers out there. It’s too corny.

Corny!?! Well, golly gee, mister! What if some people like a little happy in their rap?
