Donald Trump is looking more and more like he’s going to be the Republican nominee to run for President this fall, and that is NOT sitting well with the party’s establishment wing, terrified of losing badly behind a very flawed candidate!

And now, in maybe the party’s most audacious move yet, The Donald’s two remaining competitors — Ted Cruz and John Kasich — are openly colluding to prevent the real estate mogul from winning any more state primaries!!!
Late Sunday night, Kasich and Cruz released statements just minutes apart that indicated they were going to divide their efforts on future primaries to ensure that The Donald wouldn’t win them, and that the two candidates wouldn’t take votes away from each other in the process of competition.
In the division, Cruz will now focus all his strength on the upcoming Indiana primary, while Kasich will forget that one to instead focus on the primaries in Oregon and New Mexico.
Cruz’s campaign manager Jeff Roe said in a statement late Sunday night:
“To ensure that we nominate a Republican who can unify the Republican Party and win in November, our campaign will focus its time and resources in Indiana and in turn clear the path for Gov. Kasich to compete in Oregon and New Mexico.”
In other words… ANYBODY BUT TRUMP!!!!!

This is getting too good — everybody hates The Donald, and yet, a significant portion of the GOP is still voting for him! Hillary Clinton is going to walk away with this election in November…
Cruz himself also talked up the plan on Monday, speaking to conservative radio talk show host Laura Ingraham:
“This is a nationwide campaign and we’re making a decision where to focus our time, energy and resources. We are now focused very, very heavily on the state of Indiana. It is significant that John Kasich is pulling out of Indiana and allowing us to go directly head to head with Donald Trump.”
Kasich seemed to go along with the plan… at least initially, when his team posted a tweet (below) late Sunday night:

But just a few hours later on Monday morning, Kasich was speaking with reporters and showed at least a little bit of hesitancy in maybe walking back the plan with Cruz.

In his conversation, he said he wants his voters in Indiana to vote for him, and not Cruz, thereby potentially splitting the vote and pushing The Donald to victory… again:
“They ought to vote for me. I’m not campaigning in Indiana and he’s not campaigning in these other states, that’s all. It’s not a big deal.”
So wait… even when the GOP tries to do something slightly underhanded to take back their own party from the crazy real estate mogul, they can’t get it right! Ha!!!
It only gets funnier, though, because as you’d expect, The Donald himself has weighed in on the controversy from his medium of choice… Twitter:

It only gets better, though! The Donald unleashed a stream of tweets, even mocking Kasich for not going along totally with the plan in Indiana (below):
