We think this could be motivated by the fact that HE is still here.
Harold Camping, a 90 year old preacher in Northern Cali, tried to prognosticate the end of the world on May 21, 2011.
And on October 21st, 2011. And on May 21, 1988. And on September 6, 1994.
Wrong.Wrong.Wrong.WRONG! After spending millions of dollars to try to convince his followers of The Rapture, the minister has finally owned up to his mistake.
Camping wrote the following on his website:

God has humbled us through the events of May 21. We must also openly acknowledge that we have no new evidence pointing to another date for the end of the world. Though many dates are circulating, Family Radio has no interest in even considering another date.

We’re glad to see Camping own up to his lies mistakes.
But that won’t help the people who committed suicide, quit their jobs, and donated their retirement money and college funds, will it?
