A courthouse might be a place you’d expect to find justice…
And where there’s justice, there are BATS!
The 5th Judicial District Courthouse in St. George, Utah found this out recently when over 50 Brazilian free-tailed bats were found inside the building!
Christian Bale and Ben Affleck were nowhere to be found. LOLz!
Zac Weiland, a Washington County deputy prosecutor, heard spooky scratching noises in the courthouse back on Halloween:
“I don’t like bats. I saw [one] crawling, and it’s stuck in a little lamp, and I’m like, ‘I’m done, I want out.'”
Ha! He just “NOPE’d” right out of there!
Thankfully, since the bats are of special concern in Utah, the state Division of Wildlife Resources helped relocate the winged creatures of the night to a safer stomping ground.

All the critters were eventually released into the wild and the courthouse was all sealed up so no more could get in.
No more vigilante justice for those bats! Ha!
