Busted!
Ethan Couch, the teenager who was convicted on four counts of intoxication manslaughter in 2013 for a drunk driving accident when he was 16, has been caught after leaving the country!
Couch, now 18, is infamously known for avoiding jail time for the accident because his defense stated that he suffered from “affluenza.” The condition, which is NOT recognized by the American Psychiatric Association — is HIGHLY controversial as it claims wealthy people suffer from a lack of motivation or feeling of guilt for their actions.

Regardless, Couch didn’t receive any jail time and instead was given probation.
Well a couple of weeks ago, Couch and his mother Tonya Couch, were reported missing after Ethan failed to meet with his probation officer.
Shortly after his missed meeting, a court ordered a warrant for Ethan’s arrest as it was feared he had skipped town — and apparently they were right!
On Monday evening, both Couch and his mother were found in Mexico in the resort city of Puerto Vallarta. After the two were detained, they both underwent medical check-ups and were then transferred to immigration authorities.
They were last reported as traveling to Guadalajara so they could then be transported to the United States, though there is no confirmation on when their flight will be.

At the time the warrant was issued, it was not known whether or not Tonya was helping her son and she was was just deemed a missing person. However, since Miz Couch was found with her flesh-and-blood the situation looks bleak for the both of them.
After detaining the two missing persons, the Jalisco State Prosecutor‘s Office released a statement saying:

“Since December 26th agents of State Prosecutor’s Office provided law support enforcement personnel from the neighboring country of the United State of America, the US Marshall for the location and capture of Ethan Anthony Couch.”

Honestly, we’re just glad they found him so there can’t be any harm done to anyone else.
