This is absolutely horrific.
Michael Jones of Wyandotte County, Kansas is being investigated for beating his 7-year-old son to death and feeding the remains to pigs.
On November 25, police were called after Jones allegedly attacked his wife, Heather Jones, and reportedly fired a gun at her in the home they shared along with eight children.

As the authorities investigated the incident, they received a tip from a source that told the police to search for a decomposed body of a 7-year-old boy — Michael’s son.
The next day, law enforcement found human remains in a barn that was on the 44-year-old’s property. Sources believe that the boy was beaten to death and then fed to pigs on the property.
Investigators have said that Jones was involved in “torturing or cruelly beating” his 7-year-old son sometime between May 1 and September 28.
As a result, Michael has been charged with child abuse, aggravated assault with a firearm, and aggravated battery.

Due to the specifics of the alleged crimes, Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome A. Gorman set Michael’s bond at $10 million — the highest Gorman has ever seen in his 34 years with the DA’s office.
The seven other children who were in the home at the time of the investigation have since been taken into protective custody and are now safe.
This is absolutely terrible and our thoughts are with those affected by this despicable act.
