Full House was a comfort show for so many.
The beloved ABC show ran for 8 seasons from 1987 to 1995, and has had a successful five-season revival series Fuller House on Netflix starring much of the main cast.

Due to Bob Saget‘s untimely passing on January 9, 2022, the show is back in the news, and will hopefully touch an entirely new audience because of that. Let’s see what the cast is up to these days.

Bob Saget
The man who held it all together on Full House went on to ultimately reprise his role of Danny Tanner on Fuller House, but also had a successful career away from the sitcom, hosting America’s Funniest Home Videos for eight years, and voicing the future Ted Mosby on CBS‘ How I Met Your Mother, among other roles. Sadly, in early 2022, Bob suddenly passed away in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida. While drugs or foul play is not suspected in his untimely passing, the mystery surrounding is causing hurt to so many. He was just 65.
Lori Loughlin
While Lori went on to star in a 90210 spinoff, several Hallmark movies and TV shows, and start a family of her own with fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, things haven’t been so cheery for her as of late. In March 2019, Loughlin and her husband were arrested in connection with the college admissions bribery scandal, accused of bribing to have her daughters Isabella and Olivia admitted into the University of Southern California. Following the scandal breaking, she was dropped by Netflix from Fuller House, as well from all of her Hallmark projects. After months of maintaining innocence, Lori pled guilty and served time in prison. Since being released in December of 2020, Loughlin has slowing started to make her way back on TV.
John Stamos
Have mercy! Is it just us, or has John Stamos only gotten better looking with age? Uncle Jesse called it quits with his wife Rebecca Romijn in 2005, and in February 2018 wed Caitlin McHugh before the arrival of their son in April. He reprised his role on Fuller House, also serving as an executive producer for the series. Since then, he’s starred on Big Shot, YOU, and so much more.
Dave Coulier
Just as he has portrayed funnyman Joey Gladstone on Full House and Fuller House, he’s stuck with comedy IRL, too! Although Dave Coulier best known for his role of Joey, the actor has continued to have a successful voice-acting career after the wrap of the sitcom, and has done stand-up tours nationwide.
Candace Cameron-Bure
While she’s still best known for her role as big sis D.J. Tanner, Miz Bure has gone on to explore many ventures! She competed on season 18 of Dancing with the Stars, and ultimately finished in third place. From 2015 to 2016, she was a co-host of The View, before joining the Tanner crew for Fuller House. She wed her husband Valeri Bure, a former ice hockey player, in 1996 and has three children: Natasha, Lev, and Maksim.
Jodie Sweetin
Following the wrap of the beloved series, Sweetin began using drugs and alcohol at the age of 14, abusing them for the next 15 years before finally becoming sober in December 2008. She has been married three times, and has two daughters from her second and third marriages. Jodie was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars‘ 22nd season, and finished in sixth place. She reprised her role with much of the original cast to star in Fuller House.
Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen
Arguably the most famous faces to have emerged from the ABC show, what haven’t Mary-Kate and Ashley gone on to do? The twins, who switched on and off with portraying Michelle Tanner, successfully launched a dual-career and starred in multiple movies and TV shows together through the mid-2000s. While they have not acted together since 2004, and officially retired in 2012, they run their fashion labels The Row and Elizabeth & James together. Mary-Kate was married to French banker Olivier Sarkozy from 2015 – 2021. Ashley was never married and is currently dating artist Louis Eisner.
Andrea Barber
Though Andrea retired from acting to focus on her personal life after Full House wrapped in 1995, she reprised her role of Kimmy Gibbler in a 2012 Funny or Die sketch with costar Dave Coulier, and ultimately resumed her character again for Fuller House as well as a main cast member. Since then, she’s released the book Full Circle: From Hollywood to Real Life and Back Again.
Scott Weinger
You might be surprised to find out that Full House and Fuller House aren’t Scott’s biggest roles! In 1992, he voiced the title character in Disney‘s Aladdin, reprising the role in direct-to-video sequels, TV series, and video games. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 1998, and has worked as a writer/producer for shows including 90210 and Black-ish.
