Gypsy Rose Blanchard Talks Up Her New Husband's D Game (!) While It's Revealed She Has TWO Reality Star Cousins!

Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her husband Ryan Anderson are navigating a whole new world now that she’s out of prison! And, apparently, that means having lots of sex, dealing with lots of haters, and finding out about some surprising new family members!

In a new interview with People out on Tuesday, the couple opened up about how excited (and nervous) they are to be stepping into the spotlight. If you don’t know, Gypsy, a victim of Munchausen by proxy, was in prison for eight years after helping orchestrate her abusive mother Dee Dee‘s murder. Despite being locked away, her story has continued to be told, including in the 2017 HBO documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest. After watching this, Ryan wrote Gypsy a letter in 2020, which kick-started their long-distance romance. They got married in 2022 and are now starting their new life together.

And, yeah, that’s gonna come with some challenges. The 32-year-old convict revealed ahead of her release last Thursday:

“I think the only fear that I have is, honestly, just making sure that we have good conflict [resolution]. I’m a very ‘in the moment’ type of person, so I want to make sure if we have an argument, I want to clear it up in the moment. He is … the opposite, where he has to sit on things and think about it, and then come back a couple hours later and resolve it.”

While in prison, they mostly poured their hearts out in letters — with rare visits. Now they’ll be living together! Gypsy shared:

“I’ve never lived with a man. I grew up with a mom, so I didn’t even grow up with a dad in the house. So I’m like, ‘I don’t even know what it’s like to live with a man.’”

Despite some reservations, Anderson happily picked his wife up from Chillicothe Correctional Center last month with plans to make her gumbo, give her presents, and take her on a “romantic night out,” he told the outlet:

“Gypsy’s never been on a real date where you go and sit somewhere and eat and go to a movie or do whatever.”

Aw! This hasn’t stopped him from feeling uneasy about the future ahead, though, he noted:

“It’s going to be a whirlwind and there’ll be a lot of attention. I’m still very nervous about that. I’m a very private person.”

The attention will be kicking up a notch on Friday when Lifetime releases a highly-anticipated new docuseries, The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard. But before then, Ryan will be focusing ALL his attention on Gypsy! He added:

“Now it’s kind of like, ‘Oh, you’re in the public eye now — go out there and experience it.’ But we’ve decided that every night, we’re going to lay in bed, we’re going to talk to each other and check on each other and see how we’re doing, because it is going to be crazy for a minute. […] I’m nervous, but at the same time I know I’m excited because she’ll be right there to help me through it.”

You catch that comment about pillow talk?! Well, they’re doing a lot more than just talking in bed! Defending her man over on Instagram, Gypsy wrote an impassioned message of support for her hubby on Tuesday under a selfie of himself — revealing she’s VERY into what he’s packing! She dished:

“Ryan, don’t listen to the haters. I love you, and you love me. We do not owe anyone anything. Our family is who matters. If you get likes and good comments great, if you get hate then whatever because THEY DON’T MATTER. I love you besides they jealous because you are rocking my world every night…yeah I said it, the D is fire happy wife happy life “

Her beau seemed thrilled by the praise, commenting:

“Who said I gave a damn about what these jealous people say anyway, haha… now come get it Baby…”

Sure doesn’t seem like no longer being long distance has affected them at all yet!

When she’s not busy making up for lost time with her lover, Gypsy also has a whole new family mystery to unpack! It turns out she’s distantly related to not one but TWO reality stars! What??

According to Dr. Adina Newman, AKA the person behind My Family Genie, Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney are BOTH cousins with Gypsy! The revelation was revealed on Sunday, with Adina dishing:

“Who spent the whole day researching Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s family tree? . More specifically, I focused on her maternal side. And let me tell you, Cajuns and Acadians basically everywhere! If you know anything about Cajuns and Acadians, they are endogamous, a small founder population and keeping it within the family for generations.”

Apparently, there are “some family names” from Acadia on Stassi’s paternal grandmother’s side, she revealed:

“Still digging because Gypsy Rose and Stassi are related distantly in a bazillion different ways.”

They’re “at minimum 11th cousins, Stassi is 10th cousins once removed with [Gypsy Rose’s mother] Dee Dee.” Whoa!!

The 35-year-old reality TV veteran caught wind of the theory, and reacted:

“Omg I’m unwell ”

Newman wrote back, saying, “I love this for you .” Now, we know what you’re thinking, how does the other Vanderpump Rules star fit into this? Well, Adina already determined that Katie and Stassi are “9th cousins once removed” along “the Bourgeois line” back in December 2021. So while they “are more closely related” to each other than they are to Gypsy, it still means they can “add to the family tree!” She noted in a follow-up IG post:

“But in typical Acadian fashion, they are related in other ways as well, including the Bourg line. In fact, Stassi and Katie are more closely related on this line, sharing ancestors Michel Bourg (c.1666-c.1721) and Elizabeth Melanson (c.1673-c.1724); they are 9th cousins once removed. That means Katie is also related to Gypsy Rose Blanchard! Gypsy is 11th cousins once removed with Katie and 11 cousins with Stassi (counted generations wrong in the prior post, but made the correction).

Small world!

Tom Schwartz‘s ex reacted, “didn’t have this on my bingo card!” Hah! Neither did we!!
