HOLD UP. We just finished watching this first trailer for The Man From U.N.C.L.E. — and we didn’t see much CGI!
Is… is that right? An action movie with practical effects?? And the saliva-inducing Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer??
This looks almost TOO fun! The spy flick is set in the 1960s, and it looks like pure popcorn entertainment… in all the best ways!

It follows the story of Napoleon Solo (greatest character name ever?), played by Superman, who has to drop the “I only work alone” B.S. and fight side-by-side with the Russian Illya Kuryakin, played by The Lone Ranger. It looks hilarious and action-packed, and did we mention that the reportedly Mizz New Star Wars spinoff, Felicity Jones, is in it too?
Plus, with Guy Ritchie at the helm, we can really account for how stylish it looks. He’s kinda known for staying away from CGI until it’s absolutely necessary, and you bet your hot & steamy a$$es that’s the better way to do action!
