Hulu Finally Gives In & Sells-Out, Charging Viewers

The day this happens to YouTube, Internet users will cause chaos on in the streets. For now, we only see people mildly bitching and moaning.
Oh, and not paying!
Come 2010, expect to pay to play videos on the popular site Hulu. The press was alerted yesterday at an industry summit yesterday of the site’s change to a subscription plan costing $$$ to view videos. (Though some content may continue to be offered for free, but they won’t be anything worthactually watching.)
News Corp Deputy Chairman Chase Carey said:
├óΓé¼┼ôI think a free model is a very difficult way to capture the value of our content. I think what we need to do is deliver that content to consumers in a way where they will appreciate the value.”
