Bring Your Pets To The Dentist

It turns out people are not the only ones who need to get check ups at the dentist.

The American Veterinary Medical Association says that many people do not think about their pet’s teeth. However, dental hygiene in animals is very important.

The association says that by age 2 about 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have some form of periodontal disease, from not getting their teeth cleaned. This can in the long run be linked to diabetes, strokes, kidney disease and painful infections.

So, according to an animal dentist try to brush your pet’s teeth daily…if they will let you!

If these furry friends are troublesome, you should take them to get a teeth cleaning once a year, says the association. Also look for food, chew toys and treats that are designed to clean teeth.

Will U be bringing your pet to the dentist any time soon??
