The Clinic That Botched Joan Rivers' Throat Procedure Will No Longer Receive Federal Accreditation

no title
Things aren’t looking too good for the now infamous throat clinic where Joan Rivers went to get a routine procedure done.
In fact, things have been going extremely down hill for the medical office after the former Fashion Police star tragically passed away…
After Joan’s death, the Department of Health and Human Services inspected the Yorkville Endoscopy Center and gave them a list of things they needed to improve on.
During their second visit, DHHS still found violations — one they cited was failure to properly complete and document post-anesthesia evaluation of patients — in the clinic.

├óΓé¼ΓÇ╣Now they’re revoking the federal accreditation placed on Yorkville Endoscopy at the end of January.
According to a notice, this means the clinic:

“will no longer be eligible to receive federal funds for services provided to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.”

On January 31, medicare or medicaid patients’ benefits will no longer be accepted at the Upper East Side practice.
However, the people at Yorkville are looking to appeal this decision and will continue to be open for business.
