This John Cena and Nikki Bella breakup was shocking at first — but the more we learn, the more it sounds inevitable.
We’ve now heard John was getting cold feet about their May wedding, forcing Nikki to put her foot down and end things for good.

But now People‘s source is saying John was never right for Nikki — who was “sacrificing” her desire for motherhood just to be with him!
And the insider says that’s something Nikki’s twin sister Brie Bella was never OK with:
“On one level, Brie wants to kill him, sure. No one should be allowed to hurt her sister like this. But honestly, on another level, there’s relief. Nikki was bending over backward to accommodate this guy and everyone, especially Brie, was worried that she was sacrificing way, way too much ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ most of all, motherhood.
The things she said when she was with John ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ that she didn’t need to be a wife, or then that she didn’t need to be a mom ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ that’s just not Nikki.”
According to this source, Nikki always wanted to be a mom — something you can frankly see in her Instagram feed!

The source confirms:
“She will be such an amazing mom someday, and she loves Brie’s baby so much. So of course that’s what Brie wanted for Nikki. To have to hear her trying to convince herself and everyone else that she would be fine just giving it up, it was so hard. Brie never bought it.
There’s some relief that at least Nikki can go forward and find someone who will really give her everything she’s dreamed of. Because that guy isn’t John. Never was.”

Total Divas fans will know an early hurdle for the couple was when John actually had Nikki sign a 75-page contract when she moved in with him!
She was not happy about being referred to as “guest” in his home or in his life. Luckily, all this drama was caught on film.
