Kanye West is clearly still reeling after his wife Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint in Paris earlier last month.
As you know, the 39-year-old was hospitalized last week for a psychiatric evaluation following a string of erratic behavior shortly after canceling the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour. The KUWTK star has since been nursing the father of her two children back to health, sleeping by his side at UCLA Medical Center and helping to feed him.
Now, a new source tells Us Weekly that Kimmy’s terrifying hold up on October 3 played a huge role in Yeezy’s mental health.

The insider explains:
“He’s been shaken up ever since the robbery in Paris. It did a number on him as much as Kim. The mere thought that anything could happen to her sent him in a tailspin. He wasn’t sleeping and he was having nightmares about it.”
The thought of being separated from the reality star while on tour reportedly sent him over the edge:
“He really couldn’t do his shows without her around. That’s what made him worse. He didn’t want to be away from her ├óΓé¼┬ª [The robbery] was just as hard for him, but he tried to keep going. He would never have canceled the tour unless things were bad.”
The source adds:
“The robbery triggered everything. Kim is his family and the only family he really has now. They took him in and embraced him. So seeing Kim traumatized did a major number on him.”
