Kathie Lee Gifford Writes A Letter To Show Her Support For Matt Lauer, But He Wont Let Anyone See It!

Here’s something you don’t see everyday: someone sticking up for Matt Lauer!
Kathie Lee Gifford decided to show her support for her beleaguered Today show co-worker by writing a letter singing his praises, and she was able to get HUNDREDS of her fellow staffers to sign it!
Apparently, she originally planned to release the letter as an ad in USA Today, but for whatever reason it was decided that it should stay within the NBC family.
While the most of the message is being kept under wraps, a small portion was released that reads:

“We the people of the Today show who work side by side, day by day, year in and year out with Matt Lauer are tired of unfounded and unrelenting stories by faceless characters regarding his character and reputation. No one has coerced us to sign this. With our signatures we stand in support of our colleague and friend.”

Well isn’t that nice!
So who wouldn’t want the kind words to be seen by the public? Apparently Matt shot the idea down himself!!
How are you supposed to get people to like you when you won’t even let us see the nice things your co-workers have to say about you?!!
We’re not sure why Matt wouldn’t want the letter to see the light of day, but at least he knows some of his co-workers have his back!
