As we reported, Katy Perry absolutely killed her performance at the Pepsi Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show, complete with dancing sharks and happy-ball dancers.

So just HOW did the 30-year-old celebrate one of the biggest nights of her career?
With some fresh new ink!
Yesterday, the Roar singer posted photos on her Instagram of a tattoo artist giving the inside of her ring finger some extremely meaningful artwork.
The caption read:
“I thought it would be appropriate to draw blood tonight… XLIX”
XLIX is of course a roman numeral representing the number 49, as in Super Bowl 49!
John Mayer‘s rumored girlfriend is no stranger to the needle! The Grammy nominee has a Hello Kitty drawing on her middle finger, a script reading “Jesus” on her wrist, a Sanskrit phrase on the inside of her arm, and a peppermint candy on her ankle.
While Katy’s new tat looks really good, we just hope it didn’t hurt too badly!
