Khloé Kardashian's Fave Method Of Reducing Fat May Actually Cause More Fat To Form, New Study Suggests

Coolsculpting may cause more fat to form!
Uh-oh, say it ain’t so!
According to a new study, Khlo├â┬⌐ Kardashian and Molly Sims‘ reported favorite method of getting rid of stubborn fat may actually cause more fat to form!

An older study claimed that the chances of developing paradoxical adipose hyperplasia — “a rare adverse effect in which patients develop painless, firm, and well-demarcated tissue masses in the treatment areas approximately 3├óΓé¼ΓÇ£6 months following cryolipolysis” — from CoolSculpting were rare, only 0.0051% chance.
However, a newer study published in Lasers in Surgery and Medicine found that the rate of incidence is actually closer to 0.47%, and that the phenomenon tends to be underreported.
The study concluded that more research is necessary to fully determine the rate of paradoxical adipose hyperplasia in patients who’ve undergone CoolSculpting.
In an interview with People, plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Rey (formerly of Dr. 90210) said:

“It is a very rare occurrence. It appears to be rare enough that the majority of patients should not be concerned. It is non-invasive, does not require anesthesia, and there is no recovery period. It normally has good results, so it is a good alternative to liposuction.”

It’s probably not really something Khlo├â┬⌐ or pals have to worry about! But still helps to be aware of!
