In Friday’s episode, she talks first-time mom Katie Lowes (from from Scandal) through some very hard truths about momming.

The thing we didn’t expect? A WAY personal story about how Dax Shepard helped when she was suffering from mastitis (painful pressure from milk duct buildup). She explains:
“I was in Atlanta. We couldn’t call a doctor, and this was right after the baby stopped nursing… So I said to my husband, ├óΓé¼╦£I really need you to suck this out. We could talk about it, we could be weird about it, or you could just go ahead and nurse.”
And he did it! Kristen paints the picture of a noble hubby doing his duty:
“He had a cup next to him. He was pulling out and spitting into this cup, and I’ve never been more in love. In my life.”
