Kurt Cobain's Suicide May Actually Have Been A Murder, Says Former Police Chief Who Is Calling For A Reinvestigation

When Kurt Cobain died in 1994, audiences were stunned that a promising musical genius could take his own life.
Fast forward to 2015, and an individual who investigated the Nirvana frontman’s self-inflicted gunshot wound believes Cobain may not have committed suicide.
He may have been murdered.

Norm Stamper was the chief of Seattle police during the time of the grunge legend’s passing, and he is calling for a reinvestigation of the 27-year-old’s death.
The former officer turned writer told documentary Soaked in Bleach:

“I would tell you right now if I were the Chief of Police, I would reopen this investigation.”

While a suicide note was found, there have been a number of widely circulated theories from Nirvana fans that contend the Smells Like Teen Spirit vocalist was the victim of a homicide:

“We should in fact have taken steps to study patterns involved in the behaviour of key individuals who had a motive to see Kurt Cobain dead.”

In fact, Stamper has remorse for how his former team had executed the case:

“If in fact Kurt Cobain was murdered, as opposed to having committed suicide, and it was possible to learn that, shame on us for not doing that. That was in fact our responsibility.”

The now-blogger reveals that his motive for calling a reinvestigation is purely about principal:

“It’s about right and wrong. It’s about honour. It’s about ethics├óΓé¼┬ª If we didn’t get it right the first time, we damn well better get it right the second time, and I would tell you right now if I were the Chief of Police, I would reopen this investigation.”

As we reported, the All Apologies singer’s widow Courtney Love has sent a cease and desist letter to any theaters showing the controversial documentary.
The Hole frontwoman has been the subject of several rumors that claim she was involved in her ex-husband’s death.
She has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
If in fact Kurt was murdered, we just hope justice will be brought down on those responsible.
