Well, they could have fooled us with all those amorous Instagram pics…
We would have bet the farm Lamar Odom and his new fiancée, Sabrina Parr, were having sex like college freshmen with no roommates.
But apparently Sabrina convinced him to completely abstain until marriage! Wow!

The personal trainer and life coach told Hollywood Life all about it, proudly proclaiming:
“This is the first time in Lamar’s entire life that he has been clean of drugs, marijuana, porn addiction, sex addiction. Him and I don’t even have sex, believe that or not.”
Really? How? Why?? The 32-year-old explained it was all about faith:
“Once Lamar got saved, he developed a relationship with a pastor and there’s a lot of things he just wants to grow, areas he wants to grow in, and things he wants to improve on as a man. And as a man, the pastor suggested to him, it’s not Godly if Christians like to have sex before marriage. And obviously he’s already had sex, so he couldn’t cut that out, but he said, ‘A great sacrifice to God would be to withhold from sex until you guys got married.’ And so, I think he really respects the pastor’s opinion and his voice.”
That is WILD! Tough to imagine Lamar Odom as one of those sweet but sad couples from The Virgin Diaries…

But was it really the pastor who convinced him?
The more Sabrina spoke the more we got the sense it was her call…
“And I also explained to Lamar how it honors your woman when you don’t touch her, and when you wait, and God repays you for that. And so, I wasn’t going to force him either way because it’s his own relationship with God and I don’t want… He’s very new in being saved, so I didn’t want him to develop opinions based on what I am doing or am not doing.”
Um, what? How is she not going to force him to accept abstinence when she’s abstaining? That doesn’t make any sense.
It seems to us she’s going out of her way to make it sound like she didn’t convince him not to have sex, but it kiiiiiinda sounds like that’s what’s happening. She continued:
“I allowed him to make a decision. But I said, ‘Whatever decision you make, let me know.’ And he really made the decision to not have sex with me until we get married, which is kind of why he wants to rush the marriage.”
Ah. Hmm.
Is it just us, or is this the exact plot of that Jennifer Love Hewitt con artist movie, Heartbreakers?
Suddenly the concerns voiced by Lamar’s son make a lot more sense.
For those who didn’t see, Lamar Morales Odom, son of Lamar and Liza Morales, posted (then deleted) some pretty dirty laundry on his father’s IG engagement announcement:
“Knew shawty for 4 months and already got you twisted. Family n friends already don’t approve of homegirl but already she got your ass inna sunken place.”
Now we see why they think she has him “twisted.” After all, this abstinence thing certainly is completely unlike Lamar. But is it a bad thing? Or does it represent a healthy change for the sex addict?

Parr said:
“Since we’ve been engaged, since before we’ve gotten engaged we have been holding on strong, and the object is to do other things in place of sex. And what he’s seeing is without having sex, it improves our intimacy. We experience real intimacy when we’re not having sex…”
“I think people would just be surprised to know Lamar’s and my relationship is really different. It’s just more than just we’re in love, let’s shoot pictures, and let’s go to the movies. It’s really got a lot of substance and we get a lot done. And we’re very busy with each other, we’re not just laid up cuddling. So there’s a lot of things that we do that doesn’t even create an environment for sex.”
