Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Donates $3 Million To Save Tigers!

Leonardo DiCaprio's foundation donates $3,000,000 to save tigers in Nepal!! Woo!
Leonardo DiCaprio has money and fame and he uses them to help animals!!
He’s kinda way awesome!
His foundation, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, gave a $3,000,000 grant to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
The WWF is currently trying to help Nepal double its wild tiger numbers by 2022!
Leo, a WWF board member, said:

“Time is running out for the world├óΓé¼Γäós remaining 3,200 tigers, largely the result of habitat destruction and escalating illegal poaching. WWF, the government of Nepal and local communities are on the front lines of this battle and I am hopeful this grant will help them exceed the goal of doubling the number of these noble creatures in the wild. I am grateful for the amazing support our Foundation has received — especially to our partners at Christie├óΓé¼Γäós who helped create an historic night for conservation fundraising with the 11th Hour Auction.”

Nepal is a great place to start because they have a 9,000-square-mile protected area where there are tigers as well as elephants and rhinos.
Sounds like the money is going to a great place!
The grant not only protects the animals… it also provides insurance for families who are coping with the loss of livestock to predators.
So the money benefits everyone!! Way to go, Leo!
