Liam Hemsworth just couldn’t take it anymore!
The 29-year-old Australian actor officially filed for divorce from his estranged wife Miley Cyrus just weeks after their split became official earlier this month.
Innerestingly, the hunky film star may not have gone through with it had it not been for one nagging thing: Miley’s public PDA and ongoing relationship with Kaitlynn Carter, which she began immediately after first separating from her longtime beau.

According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly on Wednesday about Miley’s quick rebound with Brody Jenner‘s ex-girlfriend, it turns out Liam was unprepared for the public, open affection — as was his conservative family.
Wait, whut now?
To hear the insider tell it, the actor from Down Under may actually have been open to reconciliation with Miley… if only she hadn’t been flaunting Kaitlynn around so publicly. Really???
The insider claimed:
“[Liam] filed for divorce quickly because Miley was being so open about her relationship with Kaitlynn. He thought they could work it out, but all those pictures of her and Kaitlynn ended that.”
When your partner moves on, it makes sense you’d see that as the death knell for the relationship.
However, the source added:
“Liam comes from a very conservative family and his family was freaked out by it.”
Wow!!! Seems like a hell of a thing to ultimately decide to file for divorce over.
Hold up, is this source referring to conservative meaning “old-fashioned” and therefore sensitive to cheating? Or the way it’s used in the States — meaning “against LGBT displays”??
We’ve never heard of the Hemsworths being that way before. Hmm.
Miley, meanwhile, is being far less esoteric, though maybe no more clear.
It’s been interesting to watch the Wrecking Ball singer’s seeming desire to backtrack on her public behavior in the recent days and weeks, however, starting with her epic social media thread explaining some of her past mis-deeds. She’s been remarkably candid about everything lately; even her new hit song, Slide Away, takes a more introspective approach to the schism with Liam after nearly a decade together.
And for a while there, we thought there was a chance these two might yet reconcile. Even some family members were reportedly pushing for the couple to see the split as a break, rather than a breakup.
But according to this source everything changed for Liam as those Italy pics showing Cyrus and Carter continued to dominate headlines for days on end; eventually, they were just too much.
What do U think, Perezcious readers?! Is Liam’s family right to pull him back from Miley while she’s so obviously into someone else? Or is this just straight up anti-LGBT discrimination, them being weirded out by it being girl-on-girl?!
