The Billboard Music Awards has chosen Madonna to be the recipient of this year’s Top Touring Artist title.
Such a high honor, especially up against such stiff competition! Then again, this is the Queen of Pop we’re talking about here!
So, how’d she snag such prestige? Let’s look at the facts…
Madonna’s 2012 MDNA tour grossed OVER $305 million, consisted of 88 SOLD OUT shows, and brought Madonna’s sweet sounds to the ears of 2.2 MILLION fans. Thus making it the highest grossing concert tour of the year.
That, ladies and gents, is why Madonna wins the gold AND can show up to the Met Gala in a fishnet bodystocking and no pants.
