Making A Murderer Prosecutor Puts President Obama On Blast For His Response To Steven Avery Petition!

Do you think Netflix knew they had this big a phenomenon on their hands?
Making a Murderer may have premiered three weeks ago, but it still seems to be the only thing anyone can talk about.
While most fans believe that Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey deserve a new trial based on what they’ve seen through the docu-series, President Barack Obama confirmed that he can only handle federal pardons on Thursday.

However, it seems like that small win was not enough for former Special Prosecutor Ken Kratz, because he just sat down with Yahoo! News on Friday to discuss the case, and doesn’t seem too thrilled with his response, saying:

“I was a little disappointed that the decision seemed to be based on ├óΓé¼╦£we don’t have the ability to do it.’ I would have rather had the president support not only law enforcement, but the victim’s family in this case.”

We guess we know what Obama’s been binge watching.
On a more serious note, Ken also opened up about the threats he’s been receiving ever since the show hit the streaming service on December 18, saying:

“Most of [the threats] are insulting, which certainly doesn’t bother me, but what does is when a percentage of these individuals want to either interfere with my business; want to interfere with my safety; those of my staff; those of my family. When I get emails that suggest, ├óΓé¼╦£I hope your daughter gets raped and murdered.’ That’s the kind of response from the general public├óΓé¼┬ª I would suspect or at least the conclusion that came directly from this particular Netflix documentary.”

It’s one thing to trash his place of business on Yelp, but wishing a crime on his family similar to events of Teresa Halbach‘s murder is disgusting and these “fans” should be ashamed.

It’s a pretty lengthy interview — 15:29, to be exact — but if you’re one of the millions who are enthralled by the Steven Avery case, it’s probably worth a watch.
