Mariah Carey’s estranged sister has made some disturbing claims about their family.
According to The Sun, Alison Carey has filed a lawsuit accusing their mother Patricia, a former opera singer, of allegedly allowing strangers to sexually abuse her during Satanic rituals when she was a child.
The 57-year-old Long Island native filed docs with the State of New York Supreme Court, claiming the alleged abuse took place during “middle-of-the-night satanic worship meetings that included ritual sacrifices.” The lawsuit states:
“Defendant, who is Plaintiff’s mother, allowed and encouraged other male persons whose identities are at present unknown to engage in sexual acts as defined in New York Penal Law, specifically 130.52 (forcible touching), and 130.65 (sexual assault in the first degree), while Plaintiff was approximately 10 years of age. Defendant also forced Plaintiff to witness adults engaged in sexual acts with both adults and children during middle-of-the-night satanic worship meetings that included ritual sacrifices.”
Alison is seeking damages for “immense psychological and physical damage, mental pain and anguish, and intentional infliction of severe emotion distress.”

As fans know, Alison has been estranged from her superstar sister since 1994 when the two had a falling out. Unfortunately, Alison had a much harder life than her talented younger sister and seemingly held a bitterness toward Mariah as she found success in the music industry, while Alison fell on hard times and eventually turned to prostitution.
After the separation of their parents, a then-11-year-old Alison went to live with their father Alfred, while Mariah continued living with Patricia. At age 15, Alison got married and became pregnant with her first child before dropping out of high school. She claimed she then had difficulties finding a job because of inexperience, which caused her to turn to sex work. In 1987, Alison wed again and gave birth to her second son, Michael. She tested positive for HIV a year later before divorcing her second husband.

Alison has gone on the record stating that Mariah had paid several times to have her put in rehab. When Mariah dedicated her first album to Alison in the summer of 1990, she believed it was just an attempt to make Mimi look like a “good sister.” When asked how she felt about the dedication, Alison said:
“I’m sorry I just think that that’s kind of… beneath contempt.”
In 1994, Alison had a falling out with her family when Patricia came to pick up Michael for a weekend visit but ended up taking him because she felt that Alison’s history of illegal drug use made her an unfit mother. Temporary custody was given to Patricia in 1995.

Now, Alison claims that her tough life stemmed from being a victim of ritual sex abuse at the hands of her mother. In the docs, she claims the alleged abuse led to “her misuse of both legal and illegal drugs in an attempt to suppress the horrific memories, and to undergo extensive professional counseling.”
This isn’t the first time Alison’s spoken out about the alleged ritual abuse. She previously talked about it with The Sun back in 2018, telling the outlet:
“The ceremonies or rituals were always between 2am and 4am and they weren’t every week as far as I can remember – just certain dates… Everyone would wear long robes with black hoods and walk in twos across to this place. Inside they would start the rituals and they would be chanting in another language – I think Latin… Then terrible things would happen; things that a child should never see.”
Well then…
