Watch Mark Wahlberg Make A Joke About His Raunchy Comedy Ted To Pope Francis Himself!

may have been the master of ceremonies during Pope Francis‘ World Meeting of Families event this weekend — but he was also the master of jokes!
The Philadelphia conference was the final leg of Pope Francis’ first papal visit to the U.S. and featured performances by Aretha Franklin, Andrea Bocelli, The Fray — and 14-year-old opera singer Bobby Hill!

After his performance during Sunday’s event, Hill went up to the Pain & Gain star and gave him a big hug. Wahlberg then said to the crowd:

“That right there was truly the voice of an angel. But then he whispered in my ear that he loved the movie Ted, and I told him that was not appropriate for a boy of his age.”

He then asked Pope Francis for forgiveness for the raunchy film — though he probably should have asked apologized for Ted 2. Ha!
