Natalie Portman was going THROUGH IT with her divorce from Benjamin Millepied… And then Rihanna came into the equation!
The V for Vendetta star appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night, and for the first time really opened up about her bitter divorce. Not only had they been married 12 years, he allegedly cheated on her with a much younger woman. Devastating… except… The sadness went away quickly thanks to some much needed hype from the Love on the Brain singer!

During her conversation with Jimmy, he brought up a viral video you may have seen back in January from Paris Fashion Week. In the footage, Natalie and RiRi can be seen bumping into each other and having the GREATEST interaction ever! The Fenty Beauty founder gushes to the Oscar winner that she’s “a f**king fan,” before Natalie responds in shock, “Are you kidding me?” And she wasn’t! Rihanna tells her:
“You are one of the hottest bitches in Hollywood forever. You do the most innocent look and I’m like, ‘Ahhh.’”
OMG! We love that!!
Natalie says she’s going to “black out” from all the excitement, before calling Rihanna a “queen” and letting her know she listens to her music “all the time.” And the Stay singer responds by telling her:
“I don’t get excited about anybody but I f**king love you.”
So cool! This is the crossover we didn’t know we needed! LOLz!
And during her conversation with Jimmy, the Star Wars actress couldn’t help but swoon over the viral moment all over again — which came when she needed it the most! She explained to Jimmy that enormous compliment came right in the middle of separating from her ex:
“It was an amazing experience for me. I think every woman going through a divorce should get to have Rihanna say to her that she’s a bad bitch.”
As we’ve been following, Natalie filed for divorce from Benjamin after he was accused of cheating on her with a 25-year-old last year. So when she got those amazing words, it was just the confidence boost she needed to get back up again! She added:
“It was exactly what I needed … It was a formative moment in my life.”
